We carry out searches using databases such as Medline, CINAHL, Embase and The Cochrane Library to find the best available evidence to support you in your work or study.

An evidence search is a systematic and thorough search of all types of published evidence, relevant to a specific topic in order to identify the best available evidence and research..

 

The purpose of a evidence search can be to:

 

  • Find the most current and up-to-date research to support evidence-based practice.

  • To support continuous professional development (CPD).

  • Identify research and sources that can be used in academic writing.
